Protective Orders

Protective order cases are usually the result of a domestic incident.

A victim could file for an order of protection against another individual.  If granted, the order of protection (also known as a restraining order) places a constraint on the alleged perpetrator.  This perpetrator will be limited from contacting the accuser.   Usually, the perpetrator must not have contact with the accuser and must avoid the place of employment or home.

Other restrictions are possible as well.
